Dr Darragh Fitzgerald is a dual qualified specialist in Pain Medicine and Emergency Medicine serving Perth and Mandurah.
Dr. Fitzgerald was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, where he completed his medical education at Trinity College Dublin. After finishing medical school and internship at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin (Ireland’s largest tertiary hospital) he relocated to Perth, Western Australia
Dr. Fitzgerald undertook dual training in Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine across Western Australia, during which he also earned a Master’s degree in Health Economics, Policy, and Management from the London School of Economics, graduating with distinction. In 2023, he was selected for an Interventional Pain Fellowship focusing on minimally invasive pain procedures, including neuromodulation. He was awarded Merit in his Pain Medicine Fellowship Examinations, ranking among the top three candidates in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
In 2024, Dr. Fitzgerald established the WA Pain Institute, a private pain management practice serving Perth and Mandurah. Additionally, he serves as a consultant in the Pain Management units at Sir Charles Gairdner/Osborne Park Hospital Group and Fiona Stanley Hospital, and in the Emergency Department at Peel Health Campus.
